Antarus.net – website revamp

Website redesign for Antarus.net

I am really excited to be able to share with you our new design for the Antarus.net website.  Antarus are a US based company selling very impressive DNA Photocopiers to schools, research departments and laboratories.

The product itself is very technical but Antarus were aware that at first glance could be mistaken for a children’s toy. Their old website was very dated with a slightly unusual menu that shifted around depending on the page!  Antarus came to us to revamp the website design completely and to integrate a shopping basket so that orders may be placed online.

I have included an image of their old website below, without being too analytical – I am sure that you can see that the design is a bit orange and not using the most persuasive layout.

Old website

For our new proposal we have focused on the product and the product features.  The quick links to the full range below the main image provide simple calls to action for the reader.   We’ve toned down the orange a bit, still keeping the site on brand, but with a very glossy and grown up feel.  There are plans for the website to grow significantly over the next 12 months so the design has been build with expansion in mind.

What do you think?

P.S I’d really like to give the credit for this entire design to date to Chris – it’s his first website design from scratch (usually we have him locked away coding 12 hours/day!)
