We are often asked by clients to build more complex websites, often including a database backend, social networking and integrating with third party applications.
Our developers are experienced in all aspects of web development from open source PHP to .NET.
The procedure for implementing a bespoke website is more complex that than for a basic brochure website.
1.Kick Off
We usually have an initial "kick off" meeting to gather all of your requirements. Following the meeting we can provide you with a very rough estimate for the total cost and timescales.
2.Technical Specification
If you are happy to work with B Websites the next stage is to write a formal technical specification.
For any bespoke project the specification is the backbone of its success; it will detail:
- the application sitemap
- outline of the planned content
- the database structure
- comprehensive list of required functionality (for initial and future phases)
- breakdown of cost and deliverables
- wireframe
This document ensures that B Websites will deliver your exact requirements and allows you full control over the project from the off set. The document is yours to keep and should you wish to involve other developers then you will be able to use the specification as a starting point.
Preparing the specification takes time - often a day or two. We will invoice at the usual rate for our work. Once completed and agreed we can provide you with the final quote for the website project along with expected timescales.
