Keune Hair Cosmetics.

Third party integration, Web Design, Web Development

The Brief.

Keune has been making hair products since 1922 and, up until now, have offered professional-only products direct to hairdressing salons. A recent change in policy meant that they wanted to offer their products direct to the consumer in collaboration with stylists. Potential customers therefore, needed to be asked to select their nearest Keune salon on sign-up or checkout.

This website is a completely new concept for Keune – their only other site is a brand-oriented brochure site – so b:web had a completely blank slate to start from. This meant that we were able to tailor every detail to make sure it worked as well as possible, and we undertook a lot of research to ascertain the best ways to promote this particular brand.

The Solution.

Third party integration, Web Design, Web Development
For a clean, modern approach, we developed a minimalist header containing just the logo and 3 icons including a burger menu. On click, the burger menu animates and reveals the full menu.

Keune wished to promote four ranges in particular, so we developed an attractive 2×2 square layout which works equally well across all devices. These link through to individual range pages detailing the benefits of each one and displaying a store section showing just that range. Clicking a product links to a product detail page which incorporates the usual info along with “You may also like…” and “Related Products…” sections to facilitate cross-selling and up-selling.

The main store page incorporates an animated sidebar with four different methods of filtering products, each with multiple selections and all of which interact in order to get the customer to their desired product as quickly as possible.

We have really enjoyed working on this project and especially enjoyed the creative freedom to produce something from scratch. The result is a beautiful, minimalist site which is incredibly easy to use and highlights the products and the brand rather than the website design itself.

The site was built in WordPress using WooCommerce for the store which made it easy for the client to maintain the product listings themselves. It is constantly changing as new sections are added and removed to reflect the latest promotions, and it is anticipated that the site will continue to expand as new products and ranges are added.
