Silverland Stone is a long established company supplying sandstone, limestone, slate, granite and quartzite paving nationwide. They are based in Chertsey, Surrey and Fairoak, Hampshire.
They were looking for a partner to produce a combination brochure and e-commerce site which would allow customers to order products and samples. They have upwards of 200 products with variants and optional extras that also needed to be included.
They were finding that many of their customers were browsing on mobile phones, so the site would need to work perfectly on small screens as well as larger ones.

We had an extensive briefing meeting with the client and decided to use a combination of WordPress and WooCommerce to produce their new site. Their branding was quite subtle and we continued that theme throughout the design, using shades of grey interspersed with vibrant imagery to bring the products and the site to life.
The homepage combines slideshow hero images, an image matrix layout for category navigation, and animated panels and video to convey their extensive product range. The ordering process is straight-forward, with all of the features customers have come to expect on a new e-commerce site including account management, product reviews and variable product options.
Unfortunately, the client didn’t want to sign up to an ongoing support package and this has resulted in them butchering the site a bit so it doesn’t look as good as it once did, but it is still working perfectly and should continue to do so for years to come.
