This new brand and online store is the brainchild of beauty industry expert and QVC presenter, Abi Cleeve.

ShopSkincare offers a wide range of skincare products including sun-creams and make-up from more than a dozen brands, some of which are well known and some of which are brand new to the UK market. It targets a slightly older demographic than the typical online make-up store, with a core audience ranging from mid-30s women upwards.

In addition to the wide range of products, ShopSkincare offers an exclusive offer unmatched by any other store – spend over £40 and you will receive a “Beauty Box” containing two full-size products based on your purchase history, skin-type and age!

b:web was tasked with creating the brand from the ground up, including the development of all of the branding, the colour palette and, of course, the mobile-compatible e-commerce website.

Our Solutions

Abi was keen to have a pink base to the brand but wanted to avoid cliches and to present a classy image. We therefore paired a distinctive pastel pink with a pink-toned grey and a range of other light and dark greys. A white silk background is used on various elements to provide a luxurious feel, whilst parallax imagery and a layered circular pattern give the pages a sense of depth.

The website is a blend of a WordPress brochure site and a Magento e-commerce section, with everything being completely responsive. As part of the Magento installation, our team wrote a bespoke “Brand for Life” discount system and, for the Beauty Box offering, we created a bespoke animated hero image displaying possible contents, along with some clever customised checkout features. The layout was designed to be minimalist with large areas of white space to give a sense of calm and a blog at the centre of the experience to keep everything fresh.
