b:web is delighted to announce the launch of a suite of 7 new websites for MAR Services. MAR operate cleaning, security, ground maintenance, recycling, building maintenance and ice gritting services to clients across the South East and have offices in Central London and the Thames Valley. MAR meet stringent industry standards and hold, among others, the following accreditation ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001, CHAS, and Safe Contractor.
We were approached to create a professional set of website for the main MAR Services websites and it’s 6 subsidies that would communicate their full range of capabilities. Their previous website was far too focused on their original service and didn’t reflect the size and nature of the business it’s current form. We planned a strategy that would deliver 7 separate websites, all interlinking where necessary back to the main umbrella website to allow each micro-site to communicate clearly the main proposition. This strategy is also very good from an SEO point of view.
As always with this type of project we started with the wireframe which clearly illustrates where elements will sit on the page.
You’ll see that the wire-frames shows the structure of the page, how content will be laid out and gives us and our clients the opportunity to revise any elements missing or not as clear as they should be. We have ensured important information and calls to actions are always in key positions. In the hero we have added an option to have a video which is currently becoming a major trend in web design to display information in new dynamic ways. Underneath we have the main services with testimonials to show trust within the company. This is reinforced by the company logos and accreditations at the bottom of the page.
We also have the free consultation drop down form which will allow potential clients to book consultations. The main menu will remain static and during development we the further explore animation effects for the infographic and hover overs.
Once we’re happy with the layout we move directly to the design. MAR supplied the logo and brand, as is usual with a web project we did move the brand identity forwards a little with the addition of some new icons, patterns.
Doesn’t that look lovely and fresh? The website looks professional but not at all boring and templated like many B2B websites that we see. Not only does it look fab but it’s easy for MAR to update at their customers can enjoy the responsive design across mobile and tablets as well as on the desktop.
In addition to the seven website design and build project for MAR we are also working on the marketing strategy including social media and just about wrapped up with a rather smart brochure design which I may be able to share in the next few days.
